She is the founder and owner of Dyslexia Friendly ELS in Patras, Greece, an English school which primarily caters to dyslexic students\u2019 needs in learning English, but not exclusively. She teaches students of all ages.<\/p><p><strong>Date of the Interview<\/strong>: 15.04.2024<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-313dc3d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"313dc3d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Short Summary of the interview:<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8f250b7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8f250b7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>90% of Amalia\u2019s students has a diagnosis of dyslexia.<\/p><p>Amalia uses her own material which consists of videos, songs, kinesthetic activities, etc. and at her school, lessons are held with students sitting around a big table, which helps them feel like they are part of the team.<\/p><p>She recognizes that there is an attempt on the Publishing Houses\u2019 side to adapt their books to also accommodate students with learning difficulties, but she believes that teachers who are not taught how to utilize this material, cannot really adapt and apply it to their lessons.<\/p><p>Handling emotional challenges is an everyday task for Amalia and her team.
